Our Oxbridge admissions consultants provide expert, one-to-one guidance for students applying to Oxford and Cambridge. From choosing the right course and college to personal statements, admissions tests, and interviews, we support families through every stage of the Oxbridge application.
No other UK university application is as demanding, competitive, or nuanced as Oxford or Cambridge.
Our consultants, all Oxford or Cambridge graduates, guide your child through course and college choice, the personal statement, admissions tests, and interviews, building the strongest possible application from first consultation to offer.
An Oxbridge admissions consultant guides your child through the parts of the application that Oxford and Cambridge weight most heavily, and that differ most from a standard UCAS application.
That means strategic course and college choice, a personal statement that stands up to academic scrutiny, preparation for course-specific admissions tests, and realistic interview practice.
Our consultants are all Oxford or Cambridge graduates who have been through the process themselves. They bring first-hand insight into what admissions tutors are really looking for, and translate that into clear, actionable steps for the applicant.
Why Work With an Oxbridge Consultant?
The Oxbridge application is front-loaded and unforgiving
Whether it be the October UCAS deadline, additional registration for admissions tests, written work submissions for some courses, or interviews held in December, missing or underpreparing for any one stage can end an application.
Working with a consultant gives your child a clear strategy and an honest, expert assessment of their chances — early enough to act on it. Our consultants provide impartial advice, candid feedback, and a structured plan from the first consultation through to the offer.

An Oxbridge admissions consultant guides a student through every stage of applying to Oxford or Cambridge, from the parts these universities weigh most heavily to the details that differ from a standard UCAS application. That includes strategic course and college choice, a personal statement that stands up to academic scrutiny, preparation for course-specific admissions tests, and realistic interview practice. The aim is to help a strong candidate present themselves in the way Oxbridge tutors are actually looking for, with an honest assessment of their chances along the way.
Oxford and Cambridge are among the most competitive universities in the world, with both making offers to only around one in five applicants overall, and far fewer in the most oversubscribed subjects such as Medicine, Economics, and Computer Science. Strong predicted grades are expected as a baseline rather than a differentiator, so what separates successful applicants is usually the strength of their personal statement, admissions test performance, and interview. This is why early, structured preparation makes such a difference.
Earlier than most families expect. Because the Oxbridge deadline falls in mid-October of Year 13, ideal preparation begins in Year 12, or even earlier for Medicine and the most competitive courses, giving a student time to build genuine subject knowledge, shortlist courses and colleges, and draft the personal statement well before deadline season. That said, we also support students who come to us later in the cycle, and can tailor an intensive plan where time is short.
You can only apply to one of Oxford or Cambridge in the same admissions cycle, so the choice matters, and it should be based on course content, teaching style, college setup, and where a student is most likely to thrive rather than reputation alone. The two universities run distinct processes, with different admissions tests, interview formats, and supplementary requirements. Our consultants help you weigh these factors properly, and you can explore each in more detail on our Oxford admissions and Cambridge admissions pages.
Yes. We match students with specialist tutors for their course-specific admissions tests, covering the full range Oxbridge requires across the sciences and humanities. We also run realistic mock interviews led by Oxford and Cambridge graduates, recreating the tutorial and supervision style so students learn to think aloud and handle unseen material under pressure.
Yes. We work with international students applying to Oxford and Cambridge from all over the world, supporting them with the same stages as UK applicants while also navigating the specific considerations international candidates face, such as qualification equivalences, English language requirements, and admissions test logistics in their home country. Our consultants are experienced in helping students present their academic background clearly in a UK admissions context.
A standout Oxbridge application demonstrates genuine, evidenced intellectual curiosity in the chosen subject, not just strong grades, and shows it consistently across the personal statement, any submitted written work, and the interview. Our consultants help a student identify and articulate the wider reading, independent thinking, and academic interests that Oxbridge tutors respond to, then prepare them to discuss those ideas confidently under questioning. The goal is an application that reads as authentic and academically serious rather than rehearsed.
Our Oxbridge consultants are all Oxford or Cambridge graduates who have been through the application process themselves and understand first-hand what tutors are looking for. They bring direct experience of the courses, colleges, tests, and interviews, which they translate into clear, practical guidance for each student. You can read more about the team on our consultants page.
It is ideal to begin working with a university admission consultant at the start of Year 12. This allows for careful planning of subject choices, academic achievements, work experience, and preparation for entrance exams or interviews. However, we also offer effective support later in the application process if needed.
