University Admissions Specialist
Roland is an education consultant with 18 years’ teaching experience in UK independent schools, specialising in UCAS preparation for pupils wishing to study Science and Medicine.
Roland studied at Bristol (BSc Medical Biochemistry) and Durham (MA Education) before teaching Chemistry for 18 years at top independent schools. Roland has served as a UCAS tutor, as Head of Oxbridge Applications and as Head of Medical Applications in his time in schools.
Roland uses his very significant experience of UCAS tutoring in schools to support pupils applying for top UK universities. Roland has very strong experience supporting pupils with university selection, with personal statement preparation and with mock interview sessions. Roland also supports applicants for Medicine with UCAT preparation.
Having served for 8 years as a Housemaster at a top British boarding school, Roland is also keen to support pupils pastorally, guiding pupils to find the courses and universities that best suit them. Roland has supported hundreds of pupils towards success in gaining places at medical schools, at Oxford and Cambridge for many degrees, as well as at internationally renowned universities such as Imperial College London and UCL.
