What are STEP Exams?
The University of Cambridge uses the "STEP" (Sixth Term Examination Paper) exams as part of its admissions process for certain undergraduate courses in mathematics and related subjects. These exams are designed to assess a student's mathematical problem-solving skills and mathematical thinking at an advanced level.
STEP I: This exam is required for courses such as Mathematics, Mathematics with Physics, Mathematics with Computer Science, and some joint honours courses involving Mathematics.
STEP II: This is also used for courses like Mathematics, Mathematics with Physics, and Mathematics with Computer Science.
STEP III: This is the third and final STEP exam, and it is sometimes required for Mathematics or related courses.
