Isabel

Isabel’s combined interests in education, alternative pedagogies and the accessibility of information make her a well-rounded tutor and mentor. She has taught students with a wide variety of backgrounds, including students with SEND and for whom English is a second language, as well as for homeschooling students and others aiming to rejoin mainstream school.

Isabel emphasises confidence building to ensure exam and general academic success. She is a calm yet creative tutor who specialises in making education less daunting for her students. She has developed and successfully run a bespoke programme to reintroduce out-of-school KS3 pupils to Maths in a fun and engaging way, specifically aimed to target classroom anxiety.

Through collaborative problem-solving, her students are encouraged to think creatively and logically when approaching their exams in individual and group class settings. Furthermore, her combination of mentoring and tutoring experience enables her to build and maintain long-term relationships with her students and clients.
