Ciaran

Ciaran is a qualified teacher with over ten years’ experience across university, secondary and primary education, spanning both private tutoring and classroom teaching. Since completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Cambridge and his Master’s at the University of Oxford, he has built a diverse professional background that extends beyond education; he has performed as a professional actor and comedian across the UK, worked in strategic communications consultancy, and led projects in both editorial and account management roles.

Prior to joining Ivy Education, Ciaran worked as a self-employed Education Consultant, as a Communications Consultant at Ambergate Editorial Services, and as an Account Executive at KWT Global. He has also produced and toured shows nationally, including at the Edinburgh Fringe. This breadth of experience enables him to combine educational expertise with strategic thinking and clear communication, ensuring families receive thoughtful, well-coordinated guidance at every stage.

In his role at Ivy Education, Ciaran helps families make informed decisions about their academic pathways, carefully overseeing each student’s programme and ensuring the highest standards of service are maintained. Whether supporting private clients individually or working with larger groups, he is committed to helping students find their own unique path through their formative years.

As an English graduate, Ciaran has a particular passion for storytelling and how it can be used to enable learning across the curriculum, including within STEM subjects. His experience across different ages, backgrounds and nationalities means he understands the importance of shaping a personal narrative; he supports students and families in crafting a bespoke educational journey through school, university and beyond.
