Naomi specialises in raising attainment and helping students achieve their highest learning potential in Economics and the Humanities. She develops tailored exam and revision schedules for GCSE and Sixth Form students.
Naomi is an experienced teacher and tutor who specialises in the IB diploma programme, Sixth Form and Secondary education. She has spent the last thirteen years educating students in international, independent, grammar and state school settings. Her specialist subjects are Economics, History, Politics and International Relations, Anthropology, and Business Management.
Given her global teaching experience, Naomi has had the pleasure of working with students from diverse backgrounds and has thoughtfully and pragmatically tailored lessons to support students in achieving their highest learning potentials. Naomi has a passion for teaching and would be described by her pupils as patient, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and kind. Naomi firmly believes that every pupil can reach and surpass their learning goals. Across all of her years of teaching, Naomi’s students have achieved excellent exam results both in the IBDP and at A-Level; a majority have secured attendance to their first-choice Universities, including those in the Russell Group.
Naomi is fully trained in teaching the IBDP and is up-to-speed with current academic developments across Group 3 Individuals and Societies subjects and the Core. Naomi has supervised several Extended Essays and has hands-on experience with teaching Theory of Knowledge. Most recently, Naomi held post as Teacher in Charge of Economics at a top-tier independent school in Kent, where she was responsible for curriculum-building, academic progress and outcomes. In 2017, Naomi was awarded a Master of Arts degree through the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Leicester, where she submitted an excellent dissertation on Development Economics and Fairtrade. Previous to this, Naomi received her Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree through the Department of Social Science at the University of Western Ontario in her native Canada.
