Emma’s chief aim as a personal tutor is to provide enjoyable lessons that inspire a child to feel excited about their subject, she believes that this not only enables students to achieve academic excellence but also fosters a life-long love for learning

Emma

After receiving the English and Drama prize from the University of St Andrews, Emma has a vast amount of experience teaching English Literature from primary to degree level. Emma is an 11 plus English and Verbal Reasoning specialist and she has helped many previous pupils gain places at their first choice schools and also receive academic scholarships. She also tutors GCSE and A Level English Literature and wants her pupils to develop their own literary voice and think outside the box for their examination questions. She believes the best English Literature essays are written when a question is engaged with personally and written in a students’ unique voice. Alongside also teaching Spanish, French and EAL, Emma is a creative writing specialist for all ages.
