Our 11+ Grammar school-style Verbal Reasoning Exam Papers are designed by our Exam Entrance Specialists, who have had years of experience in the 11+ Grammar School admissions process. Each paper is unique and designed to reflect the calibre of questions set by top-tier Grammar schools in the GL assessment entrance exam format. Answer sheets and answers are included.

This Paper Includes:

Verbal Reasoning: This section evaluates students' ability to understand and manipulate words, sentences, and logical relationships. Questions may involve:

    • Identifying Patterns: Students might be asked to recognise sequences or patterns in a series of words or letters. For example, determining the next word in a sequence: "cat, bat, hat, ___."
    • Completing Analogies: This involves identifying relationships between pairs of words and applying the same relationship to another pair. For instance, "dog is to puppy as cat is to ___" (kitten).
    • Solving Codes or Puzzles: These questions test the ability to decipher a code or solve a word puzzle. For example, if A = 1, B = 2, what does the word "CAB" translate to in numbers?
